Rock Camp, Real Dreams
At Venus Guitars, we love to celebrate real women who are living their rock 'n' roll dreams, and Christine Taunton is one of those unstoppable forces. A fierce guitarist and vocalist, Christine recently took her talent—and her Venus Revolution Elite Blue Morpho—to the legendary Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp, where she shared the stage with rock royalty.
Christine performed lead vocals and guitar alongside Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin), George Lynch (Lynch Mob, Dokken), the full band of Queensrÿche, and the one and only Pat Travers. Under the musical direction of Jean Beauvoir, she joined camp band Utopia, featuring Alex Shuka (guitar), Dave Bauman (guitar), John Kennerson (drums), and Brad Berman (bass).
“My experience at Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp has been nothing short of inspiring,” Christine says. “Not only am I getting to live out a rock ‘n’ roll dream, but I’m also learning, growing, and receiving incredible validation from the very idols I’ve looked up to.”
For Christine, the camp was more than just a chance to jam with icons. It was a transformational experience—a reminder that passion and perseverance have no expiration date.
“I truly believe it’s never too late to chase your dreams, which is why I proudly call myself a late bloomer,” she shares. “David Fishof, Miles Schuman, and Britt Lightning have been nothing but supportive and encouraging, even beyond the camp itself.”
She also emphasizes how powerful the community aspect is. From jamming to bonding over shared stories and musical breakthroughs, the camp becomes a breeding ground for lasting friendships and lifelong inspiration.
“One of the most powerful aspects of the experience is how campers inspire each other,” Christine says. “We leave with new, like-minded friendships and a shared fire for music that lasts a lifetime.”
Through it all, Christine rocked her Venus Guitars Elite Blue Morpho, embodying everything we stand for—talent, empowerment, and the courage to stand in the spotlight at any age or stage.
Christine, we salute you. You’re proof that it’s never too late to plug in, turn it up, and own the stage.
